Our karate program combines physical training and character development to help each student develop excellence not only in martial arts, but also in life in general. Our training is traditional in nature, providing instruction in the ancient Okinawan art of Shotokan Karate Jutsu. In addition, students learn respect, self-discipline, and perseverance, as well as many other character qualities. Ultimately, this study leads to the development of leadership, as those at the higher levels learn to pass their knowledge on to others and help them to also reach for their full potential.
Kids Karate (ages 5-12), Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:45-6:45
This program builds a foundation of skill and character. Students progress in rank as their skill level increases.
Adult Karate (ages 13 & up), Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:45-8:00
In addition to building the foundation of skill and character, students in this class refine their skills and add more difficult techniques, often working with a partner to adjust their techniques to fit a real-life situation. Character, responsibility, and leadership continue to be emphasized as the students prepare for more advanced training.
